DescriptionOfficial photographs from the production of Euripides' 'The Medea' translated unto Enlgish and adapted for stage by Benjamin Farrignton, directed by Leonard Bennett and performed by the Dartington Playgoers Society at the Barn Theatre, Dartington Hall on 23rd and 24th July 1948. Lighting directed by Horace Davis with scenery by Bernard Forrester. Stage Managers were Horace Davis and Jack Hamshere.

Cast in order to appearance: Ann Grant (Nurse to Medea), Jack Hamshere (Servant), James Taylor and John O'Connell (Children of Medea and Jason), Helga Forrester, Bridget Edwards, Leo Fox and Emily Thomas (Chorus of Corinthian Women), Paula Morel (Medea), W G Bosence (Creon), Richrad (Dick) Rushton (Jason), Charles Penneycad (Aegues), Walter Todd (Messenger).
