| Description | Contains an early water color sketchbook dating from Leonard Elmhirst's Cambridge years. Leonard Elmhirst's diary from 1915 recording his time with the Army YMCA in India and including botanical drawings and notes, as well as reflective letters about his religious beliefs, belief in pacifism, and other matters. A travel diary and scrapbook records his travels in India, Sri Lanka, Israel and Turkey in 1952. Printed records include a pamphlet published for private circulation including letters written by Leonard and Rabindranath Tagore about Sriniketan about 1923, titled 'Some Letters from India.'
