| Aktivitet | Mr Calthorpe came to Dartington in 1930 to be the Grounds Foreman under Mr Lynch, the Garden Superintendent at Dartington Hall. In 1934 he became Head Gardener when Mr. Lynch became the manager of the Gardens Department - the commercial side of the gardens. Fiercely protective of his domain - he would chase the children away from the fruit and flowers. He retired in1943. |
