| Aktivitet | Founded the Political and Economic Planning group (PEP) along with Max Nicholson, Leonard Elmhirst and others and was its first General Secretary. Lindsay was the Labour MP for Kilmarnock from 1933-45 and an Independent MP for the Combined English Universities from 1945-50. He was Civil Lord of the Admiralty and Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education. Among his greatest achievements have been the creation of the Youth Service and of CEMA, which later became the Arts Council. |
