| Beskrivelse | Two letters from A M Norris (Tony) addressed to Beryl Clark and dated 25 Feb 2000 and 23 Mar 2000, enclosing a signed letter from Barbara Hepworth to Winifred Norris, dated 8 Feb 1958; signed postcard from Ben Nicholson to Winifred, dated July 1948; signed letter from Ben Nicholson to Winifred dated 6 Apr (probably 1948); letter from Ben Nicholson to Winifred dated 10 Jan (all pertaining to the triplets); one signed letter from Sybil Thorndyke to Winifred dated 29 Sep and one signed letter from Sybil Thorndyke mentioning St Joan, which dates the letter to 1931. Also included are two handwritten copy letters from Beryl Clark, dated 2000, one to Tony Norris and the other a rough draft to Winifred. Tony Norris also enclosed books: Barbara Hepworth, with introduction by William Gibson, signed 'for Winifred, Barbara Oct 1946'; and Ben Nicholson, The Penguin Modern Painters, signed 'for Winifred and Aileen from Ben, Dartington July 48'. (Aileen was cook at Dartington Hall School). Finally, a copy of a letter from Rachel Nicholson confirming that the items are to remain in the Dartington Hall Trust Archive, dated 19 November 2006. |
