One letter, (28 Nov 1961) mentions Leonard's impressions of Tobey's Louvre retrospective in Paris. Also included is a gouache painting on paper by Pehr Hallsten, Tobey's companion, which was sent to the Elmhirsts in 1962. A letter (15 Nov 1963) mentions Tobey's gift to the Elmhirsts of a painting, '...last of the Meditation Series 1954'. There are also letters about the Tobey exhibition assembled at Dartington in 1964. |
