Designed many Modernist buildings on the Dartington Hall estate, including High Cross House in 1932, Warren House for Kurt Jooss (founder of the Ballets Jooss), and the Boarding Houses for Dartington Hall School at Aller Park. Also designed offices in New York for Editorial Publications, the parent company owned by the Straight Improvement Corporation, for the magazines, The New Republic, ASIA, Antiques, and Theatre Arts Monthly. Signed visitors book (T/VIS/2) at Dartington Hall with dates 4 Apr 1931; 18 Jan 1932; 3-13 Nov 1933. Also believed that he visited Dartington Hall in Dec 1932 and at one later date. |
