Set up and became Managing Director of Staverton Builders Ltd, 1930-1955, and Chairman from 1950-1955. Staverton Builders was Dartington's building and joinery firm which became the largest in South-West England. It was formed from the staff and workers of the original Dartington Hall Building Department, which did all the restoration of the Hall and the early building works. |
