ActivityWestonbirth Arboretum contains one of the finest and most important collections of 18,000 trees and shrubs from all over the world, producing 600 acres of landscaped countryside. The Arboretum was founded in 1829 by Robert Holford, in 1875, his son Sir George Holford joined him in his work until his death in 1926. The estate then passed to his nephew the fourth Lord Morley and then to the Forestry Commission in 1956.
