ActivityThe Ministry of Town and Country Planning consisted of nine regional offices. The main functions of the regional offices were to work closely with local planning authorities and provide them information and advice, under Planning Acts, and to reconcile the plans of all government departments affecting land use at regional level. In 1951 the offices were absorbed in the Ministry of Housing and Local Government.
