ActivityModel, housekeeper, dancer, actress, the librarian, the wardrobe mistress for the Arts College and prime mover in amateur dramatics on the estate. She came to Dartington Hall in 1927 as Housekeeper and aide to Dorothy and Leonard Elmhirst. She changed her first name to Paula to avoid confusion with Dorothy Elmhirst. Paula married Roger Morel in 1930. She was one of the original members and leading dancer in the School of Dance and Mime and joined the Chekhov Studio at its inception. A valued member of the Studio, she remained at Dartington when the Studio left the US. Paula was a model for Eric Gill although not at Dartington. To many she epitomised the spirit of Dartington Hall where she remained, arranging the flowers at the Hall in her mid-80s. Paula was also founder member and curator of the Devonshire Collection of Period Costume, Totnes.
