| Activity | The Summer School of Music was initiated at Bryanston School in 1948 and organised by William Glock. It was transferred to Dartington Hall in 1953, whereupon it became the Summer School of Music Ltd. William Glock retired in 1979 and in the early 1980s the organisation became a part of the Dartington Trust, operating for a time under the control of Dartington College of Arts, itself at that time a department of the Trust, until becoming a department in its own right operating under the name Dartington International Summer School. |
