ActivityLettercarver, sculptor and teacher. Taught by Eric Gill, to whom he was introduced by architect and family friend Erich Mendelsohn; inspired by Henry Moore; worked for David Kindersley. Commissions include work for Coventry Cathedral and Paul Tillich Park in New Harmony, America. Beyer carved the inscription on the base of the Reclining Figure, Memorial to Christopher Martin (Arts Administrator at Dartington Hall) 1945-46; also the Tagore inscription at the entrance to the Courtyard.
