Description'A Line-a-Day' diary. This diary was given to Dorothy Elmhirst for Chirstmas 1926. This diary starts with the ship S. S. Majestic arriving in Britain, London, "Elmhirst" in Yorkshire, Elmsleigh (house rented from the Duke of Somerset), Exeter, Totnes and Dartington Hall. Very early impressions of Dartington. Loose inside this diary is a calling card from Mrs. Harriet Hooper, a representative for a New York company that sold old China, Waterford glass and old English furniture; two cablegrams and two loose piece of paper with a story written by Michael Straight on 8th June 1926.
