DescriptionCorrespondence between Gerald Heard and Leonard Elmhirst. About sixty manuscript letters are from Gerald Heard mentioning mutual acquaintances, the development of the Dartington Hall experiment, and Heard's activities. Includes a reprint article by Heard, 'The Dartington Experiment', from the Architectural Review for Apr 1934. A letter and notes (Nov 1935) detail an emergency meeting between Elmhirst, Heard, and Felix Green discussing potential scandal at various progressive schools in England. Attached notes of a meeting (5 Nov 1935) with W B Curry discuss the same matter. A two penny pamphlet includes two addresses delivered in 1935, Gerald Heard 'The Significance of the New Pacifism', and Aldous Huxley 'Pacifism and Philosophy.'
