Note from page 23 as an exaplanation from LKE: 'Note from Surendranath Tagore referring to the dismissal of his son Subir from Sriniketan. The trouble was that the chief instigator of Subir's offences was his Grandmother, Suren's mother, who disagreed with Tagore and LKE over everything and especially over Surul'. |
