NotesThe school was completed in 1931 to the design of Delano and Aldrich of New York. Designed and built as a Nursery School, remaining in this use until 1937 when it change to the Middle School. During the Second World War it was a hostel for evacuee children from 1940 until the gradual reoccupation by the School during 1945-1946. The stone for the buildings was taken from the quarry about 150 yards to the South East. Lescaze's boarding house at Aller Park, 1, 2, and 3, became Orchards, Chimmels and Blacklers in 1936.
