Subjects include: the design, concept, storage, transportation, damage, conservation, new base and defacement of the Henry Moore 'Memorial Figure'; the design and carving of an inscription for the base of the Henry Moore 'Memorial Figure' by Ralph Beyer; plans for a gravel filled trench round the base to drain off surface water and cost of stone paving; the purchase and repair of a number of sculptures including two small models of the 'Memorial Figure', 'Women with Child', and 'Two Women and a Child'; proposals to Henry Moore to designing the stage settings for Michael Tippett's Opera; the loan of a number of Henry Moore sculptures by Dorothy Elmhirst to various exhibitions including, the sculpture 'Head and Shoulder' to the Museum of Modern Art in New York and Paris and to the Wakefield City Art Gallery and Museum, the sculpture 'Mother and Child' to the British Council for a 'Biennale Exhibition, Venice', and the sculpture 'Figure' (1923) for a exhibition of Henry Moore Carvings by Marlborough Fine Art Ltd in aid of the Guinea Pig Club and the Italian Art Archives Rescue Fund, and for a retrospective exhibition of the work of Henry Moore in celebration of his seventieth birthday by the Arts Council of Great Britain.
