TitleArtist Placement Group
DescriptionThe Artist Placement Group, an independent charitable trust, was formed in 1966, and from 1968 to 1974, received funding from the Arts Council of Great Britain. The intent of the Group was to place artists in commerce and government with the aim of contributing to the commercial and industrial process. In January 1975 Barbara Latham contacted Dartington Hall trustee Maurice Ash seeking the support of Anthony Crosland, MP. In 1977 Latham suggested that the Artist Placement Group might be brought to Dartington on a commission basis. This proposal was eventually rejected by the Dartington trustees.
