Material includes: copies of the 'Beavers' Debates' 1-7 including discussion on 'Land Tenure', 'Continuity', 'On the Nature of a Land Trust', 'The Land Settlement Question', 'On Nationalism', and 'On Probability'; a programme for the short course in 'The Management of Estate Woodlands' at Dartington Hall 1933; programmes and a press cutting for the Royal English Forestry Societies excursions to Dartington (1933 and 1946), a printed pamphlet of the programme for their Summer Meeting (1935); a 'Report on the Training Classes for Woodmen' (1938); 'Report on the Woodmen's Course Held at Dartington Hall' (1938 and 1939) and a picture of the Woodmen's Course (1939); an annual report of the REFS council and a leaflet for REFS Training Courses in Forestry to be held at Dartington Hall (1940 and 1946); notes by Wilfred E Hiley regarding 'Forestry Education in Britain'; a proposal for an informal forestry course at Dartington (1944); a report by F Green 'The Training of Foresters for Post-War Afforestation on Private Estates'; a list of names of students attending a short course at Dartington Hall Estate (1946); a notice for a meeting of the Society of Foresters of Great Britain at Dartington with a role of members; and a note on 'Dartington Sample Plots' (1952).

This folder also contains correspondence primarily regarding the development and activities of a school of forestry, courses in the 'Management of Estate Woodlands', and tours of estates for the courses.
