| Activity | Head of Teacher Training Department, Dartington Hall. She was one of Dorothy's closest friends from when they first met in 1929. Margaret suggested Bill Curry (who was married to Margaret's sister Ena) for the position of Head of Dartington School. Margaret also worked at the school as head of the teacher-training department - which trained teachers for nursery and junior schools. After the department closed in 1946 Margaret went to the United States for some years, but returned to live near Dartington and would visit Dorothy at least once a week. Margaret wrote several books on religion and philosophy which Dorothy helped to publish. |
