Activity | An industrialist with a major interest in textiles. His wartime responsibilities brought him into contact with Dartington through its Textile Mills. He shared much in common with Dorothy and Leonard Elmhirst, particularly a love of gardening and the arts. For a time he sheltered Henry Moore and his wife from the London Blitz.
