| Activity | The Herd Book Society was incorporated 2 Nov 1981. The role of the Society was to: maintain the purity and improve the Breed of South Devon Cattle; and to establish publish and continue to publish a Herd Book of such Cattle and diverse other objects conducive to maintaining the purity and improving the Breed of South Devon Cattle. On 21 Jul 1931, an agreement was signed between The South Devon Herd Book Society and The Recorded Dairy South Devon Cattle Society . The Herd Book of the Recorded Society was handed over to the South Devon Society and the cattle entered in the Herd Book of the Recorded Society were accepted to be recorded into the Herd Book of the South Devon Herd Book Society. |
