Activity | The Recorded Society was incorporated on the 12 Dec 1924. The role of the Society was to: encourage the breeding of South Devon Type of Dual Purpose Dairy South Devon at home and abroad; and to establish and publish a Herd Book of Cattle which shall record the breeding antecedents and milk yields. On 21 Jul 1931, an agreement was signed between The South Devon Herd Book Society and The Recorded Dairy South Devon Cattle Society . The Herd Book of the Recorded Society was handed over to the South Devon Society and the cattle entered in the Herd Book of the Recorded Society were accepted to be recorded into the Herd Book of the South Devon Herd Book Society. |
