Peggy was a trained pharmacist and first worked at Dartington Hall as a soil analyst for the Farms Department, then as the housekeeper at Aller Park (the Junior School) before becoming, for many years, the Matron at the School. Their daughter Mary Bride was Dorothy's secretary from 1962 until Dorothy's death in 1968, and after that secretary to Maurice Ash (Ruth's husband). She was the archivist and curator of the Dartington Hall Trust and Secretary to the Elmgrant Trust. |
