| Activity | Dartington's 'Yorkshire Project' was perhaps Royston Lambert's most lasting legacy. It was initially supported by Sir Alec Clegg of the West Riding education authority who became a Dartington trustee. Children, staff, and parents were 'exchanged' between Northcliffe School, Conisbrough and Dartington. About 60 Conisbrough children received scholarships to attend Dartington, and 400 Yorkshire children came for shorter stays. Through the years, about 800 Dartington students stayed for shorter periods of time at a hostel (The Terrace) purchased by the Trust in Conisbrough. The project closed in 1975 and the Terrace was sold to Doncaster Local Education Authority.
