A letter 12 Mar 1924 mentions his forthcoming journey to China with Rabindranath Tagore and Gretchen Green, funding for Boshi Sen; and Dorothy's health. Early accounts record expenditures on basic equipment for Sriniketan and include inventories; numbered receipt books; additional receipts including at least 10 signed by Rathindranath Tagore, date between 1923-1934. Legal depositions including an Affidavit of Leonard Elmhirst relating to personal gift taxes payable in America for the years 1932-1933 (1935). Letters arranging financial donations to Sriniketan from funds in America as well as from the Elmgrant Trust. Accounting records for Visva-Bharati date from 1940 and 1946. Lastly a Ford Foundation Program(sic) letter on Rural Education in India 1956. |
